About ScreenLet: Born from Necessity, Perfected for Convenience

ScreenLet began not as an invention, but as a quick fix born out of an 11-year-old’s desperation to stay out of trouble. Growing up in Michigan in the late 1970s, Bradford Keatts loved spending afternoons in his backyard tent, watching cartoons on a portable TV. But there was one problem: he needed power, and the only way to run the cord outside was by removing the window screen. This worked fine—until his mom discovered the flies invading the house and put a stop to it.

Faced with the threat of being grounded and losing his TV time, Bradford ran to the garage and, in a panic, created his first version of what would eventually become ScreenLet. His makeshift solution allowed the power cord to pass through the window without removing the screen, keeping the flies out and his mom happy. What started as a clever “stay-out-of-trouble” fix grew into something much bigger.
